Arrived safely in Queenstown with Pieter Marais on Sunday evening. Had a great evening with him. Very lekker to catch up with old friends. It is very cold here in Queenstown. The next day spent the morning lounging around at Pieter’s place and lunch time I took the 2km walk to Cozy corner self catering cottages where I was spending the night. Waht lovely people, Mariette and her family are. The Tuesday morning got up quite early had breakfast and then went to town to buy some necessaties and also fetch my parcel from the post office, which contained my new pair of slops and sunglasses. Thank you Hi-Tec the slops is great. Arrived back at Cozy corner and there in the lounge sits Archie Hitge, a old friend of mine. He came to surprise me and spent the night in Queenstown with me. Had to quickly pack my bags and sort the bed out, because was spending the night at another guesthouse in Queenstown.
Had a very great evening with Archie Hitge. Talked a lot about the future of Ten million steps for cancer, and also he phoned Lizanne and gave her some great advice and contacts to help with the route and the project from here all the way to P.E. Going to spent 3 nights with him on the farm when I am nearer to P.E (Nanaga).
Got up wednesday morning still tired as Archie and I only went to bed after 1 that morning and my pregnant P.A sends me work messages at 5 in the morning because she cant sleep and is thinking of things that must be done.
Went to town with Archie and then he dropped me at the guesthouse I was spending the night at and left. Then I got the sad news that little Cherlize Lerm has died. What a great little fighter she was.
That evening couldnt sleep my tummy was “deurmekaar” so the next day I just couldnt walk. Mariette from Cozy Corner came to fetch me and I spent the day and the evening there at Cozy corner again.
